Nutrition & Dietetics

Nutrition is the study of how the body uses foods and nutrients vital to health, promoting growth, maintenance and reproduction of cells. Various nutrients essential to life includes proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals. Food consists of these macronutrients and micronutrients act as the fuel for various body functions. Our goal is to help the body, mind and spirit to heal on its own through the appropriate nutrition and immune system support.

Dietetics is a health-related area that uses nutrition and food science to help people improve their health. In short, it’s Nutrition, Food & Health! Dietetics includes the designing of individual nutritional therapies to address specific health issues, such as unhealthy weight, diabetes or hypertension. It includes the development of diet plans and patient counselling on special diet modifications in adequate situations. Main aim of dietetics is to assess, promote, protect and enhance the health of the general public in a community setting and to provide strategies for prevention of nutrition-related diseases.
